From February 10th to 13th, 2025, KIWIKO, the international partner of Yanoon BioTech, successfully hosted Kiwifruit Field Day 2025 in South Africa, showcasing Yanoon’s kiwifruit varieties.

The event attracted over 50 industry professionals from various countries, including South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Chile, France, Portugal, India, and China. Dr. Wang Zhongyan, Chairman of Yanoon BioTech, attended as a special guest.

Participants visited three test orchards in Worcester, George, and Grabouw, located in South Africa’s Western Cape Province. Despite notable differences in climate and soil conditions across these sites, Yanoon’s kiwifruit varieties demonstrated outstanding growth and fruiting characteristics. Their performance received high praise from all attendees.

This Field Day was the first event of its kind organized by KIWIKO to showcase new kiwifruit varieties. It also served as an interim summary of KIWIKO's global testing and commercialization efforts for Yanoon kiwifruit varieties. The event’s success strengthened KIWIKO’s confidence in international expansion and is expected to accelerate the global commercialization of Yanoon kiwifruit varieties.
