On 25 June, 2019, Mr Shujun Zhao, Deputy Chief of Shimen county, accompanied by industrial investors, visited Yanoon Jinjing Research Station, to learn about Joyfruit (Akebia trifoliata) and seek cooperation on the commercial development of this new fruit crop. The group had a detailed inspection of the Joyfruit varieties in the research orchard and held in-depth discussion with Yanoon managers. Mr Zhao was very confident about the future of Joyfruit as a new commercial fruit, hoped to establish full cooperation with Yanoon to quickly develop Joyfruit industry in Shimen county.
